Arizona Medical Devices (AMD) is a newly formed company that was founded in January 2000.  Our goal is to cost effectively develop medical products that will advance the state of the art of the medical industry - to bring new ideas from concept to reality.  AMD provides design engineering services for the medical technology industry.  Quality is part of our process, from the people to the final deliverables.

The primary expertise of Arizona Medical Devices is in the areas of electro-mechanical and software systems development.  Such systems can be use to accurately deliver, transfer and/or monitor sterile solutions used in a patient care or hospital setting.  These systems may be used directly on patients in a hospital or alternate site setting.  Such systems can be used in patient support settings, such as a hospital or homecare company pharmacy, dialysis center, outpatient clinic, etc.

Though Arizona Medical devices is a newly formed company, the people that make up the company each have a history of successful products over the last 20 years. Its principals were not just participants in the development of these products.  Rather, they played key leadership roles in their development and launch.  The Web Page "Our History" details the history of these individuals.

Our belief is that development teams must be kept small to cost effectively develop quality products.  Key scientists, engineers, marketing and sales people involved in the product development must have a thorough working knowledge of the product application.  Decisions regarding product design are made daily during the course of development.  The higher the success rate of such daily decisions, the better the product meets or exceeds customer requirements. In addition, the more cost effective and timely the product introduction will become.

Arizona Medical Devices will form a core product development team using its proven and successful staff.  This small core staff will typically include proven experienced systems, electrical, mechanical, software, and disposable product engineers.  To this staff will be added any necessary resources that the product development activities will require such as mechanical and electrical designers, draftsmen, laboratory technicians, validation and verification engineers, regulatory specialists, reliability and quality engineering, etc.  The level of additional staff will be based upon product complexity, budget and market introduction dates.

Absolutely!  We welcome and encourage such participation from the companies we work with.  Such personnel can significantly add to the product development team.  Arizona Medical Devices staff members can either lead the program team or add its expertise to an existing team.

Absolutely!  We are more than happy to directly work with the marketing and/or sales staff of an organization to develop products.  Our staff has a successful history of developing products with such a relationship.

As a small company, Arizona Medical Devices has complete flexibility on how such compensation can be accomplished. Programs range from a time and materials basis to a full partnership arrangement.
